Thank you for visiting my ePortfolio. This website showcases my undergraduate experiences that have earned me the Excellence in Global Learning Medallion from Florida International University.

As a freshman in August 2012, I could not have imagined the kinds of international exposure FIU would give me. The University provided me the opportunity to build knowledge and practical experience in the field I hope to work one day: International Development. During my time as a student I clocked-in well over 500 hours of community service in five different countries. This international volunteering was made possible through on-campus organizations FIU Alternative Breaks and AIESEC. Inspired to serve, I me achieve my 'bucketlist' goal of traveling to South America and the Caribbean for the first time, all before my junior year. Additionally, my passion for community buliding and children's rights meshed perfectly through my involvements on the executive boards of UNICEF@FIU and the International Students Club. 

Through all these experiences, I have been extremely fortunate to make amazing friends from across the globe. I love my worldwide network! Of course, living/ studying in the world famous city of Miami has made a lot of these connections a reality. Now that I live in New York (since my National Student Exchange in Fall 2015), I only hope to increase my network and appreciation for diversity & culture.

In May 2016 I graduate from FIU. Although it is bittersweet, I leave knowing my horizons have been broadened thanks to my extracurricular activities and the Global Learning courses FIU provided. I am grateful for my personal growth and expanded worldview over the last four years. Today I consider myself more globally minded and understanding than ever before. The great thing is, I already see the benefits of this in my professional  and social life.
